My Week as a Kennel Helper
Shirley Smith is our volunteer who will arrive one week before the Expo starts at Wonderland Greyhound Park. She is serving a one week internship as a kennel helper in the North Shore Kennel, owned by William O'Donnell, Sr. "Billy, Sr." is known for his revision to the spelling rules in the English language, and his inability to answer the phone during Red Sox or Patroit games. Shirley will be doing everything that a kennel person is responsible for during that week, including picking up poop many times a day. The price of Shirley's internship is giving a talk to all Expo attendees at Wonderland. She will share with you her duties and impressions of working in a real racing kennel. Have your questions ready for her! Another volunteer will be working at Raynham so you will be able to compare their experiences. |
