Raynham Park is scheduled to close by Jan. 1, 2010 due to the Passage of Ballot Question 3 voted on in November of 2008. Protection of Working Animals and Handlers, Inc. is making every effort to reverse or nullify this Ballot Question.

Since time is drawing close, Racing Owners Assisting Racers, Inc. is reluctantly making plans to move the greyhounds retiring due to the Ballot Question to appropriate adoption groups. None of the dogs being retired will be placed with shelters or the MSPCA. Only adoption groups who have a track record of appropriate care and transition of the retired racing greyhound will be considered for these retiring racers.

If you would like to help with the transition from track to adoption groups, you can make a donation to Racing Owners Assisting Racers, Inc., a 501(c)3. Your donation will be tax deductible. These funds will be used to care for the greyhounds while they are waiting for an adoption group, transportation to adoption groups, and in some cases if necessary veterinarian attention.
